Bill Paradise grew up in Detroit, served with the U.S. Army in Vietnam, has a Masters degree from Syracuse University, and spent most of his career in sales and marketing. His personal relationship with God started taking shape in 1975 when he answered a friend's call to join a small group of men discussing their faith. "I took a chance, showed up, and the whole experience of relating to God has turned out to be a great adventure ever since," Bill says. He was initially inspired to write You and God while driving along I-64 in West Virginia in 1996. He and his wife Bernie have three adult children, three grandchildren, and reside in Indianapolis, where he has several favorite volunteer activities and enjoys golf.
